In other examples, the method includes transmitting extrapolation. The emission extrapolation improves the contrast of the image. In addition, the transmit extrapolation improves frame rate and reduces motion artifacts in the ultrasound image. In further examples, the aperture extrapolation and the transmit extrapolation may be combined.
